2008-11

To celebrate the opening of Resource Centre of the Project for Family Empowerment and to promote the importance of caring children and families as well as preventing domestic violence, the Project organized a carnival in Tin Shui Wai to arouse public’s concern. The function attracted 16 organizations in the district and over 2,000 people participated in it

HKSAS Primary School held their Sports Day on October 9, 2008. Young children were excited in the game competition

Nearly 40 children from our hostels and small group homes together with AXA volunteers participated in an enrichment programme – “Rainbow Lies Ahead” on August 2, 2008. The aim of the programme is to motivate young people to learn and maximize their potentials

Congratulations to Mr. Wong Yuet-ming and Mr. Sou Hon-chio, teachers of Hong Kong Student Aid Society Primary School, who are granted the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence 2007-2008. Mr. Wong and Mr. Sou designed and implemented “Inclusive Education” and “Collaborative Learning” to help students with special educational needs to have all-round education and balanced development

Around 40 students of HKSAS Primary School went on a visit to the TVB City at Tseung Kwan O. Itinerary included watching a drama recording and a tour of the Street of Ancient Costumes and Early Republic of China (古裝街與民初街). Refreshments are served after the tour

Famous artist Ms Chan Man-yee was invited to deliver a talk on "Light up the family" for parents in Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai district. The response to the talk was very encouraging

Our children participated in a 30-hour Famine Program to help the underprivileged children in the Third World on April 19-20, 2008
