Book shopping activities for children in Small Group Homes

Thanks to the sponsorship of Mr. Simon Lee and his friend Derrick, a book shopping activity for children living in Lok Fu and Hau Tak Small Group Homes was organized on December 21 and 22, 2019 respectively. Children were very excited after choosing their favourite books. They also enjoyed lunch and celebrated Christmas together after the book shopping activities.
 
Timberland’s Volunteer Team sent Boxes of Love to our children

Timberland initiated the “Box of Hope” Christmas Campaign by collecting Timberland shoeboxes from customers and gifts from staff members to make and send Christmas gift boxes to our children. After many months of preparation, this Christmas, nearly 300 children in our residential child care services, including Holland Hostel, Mark Memorial Home, Island Hostel, Small Group Homes and Foster Care, each received a Box of Love from Timberland’s Volunteer Team!

Visit of Mr. Van Zuiden to TWS & IH
2019-11-26
Mr. Peter Van Zuiden, trustee of The Van Zuiden Charity Trust, paid a visit to Tung Wan Mok Law Shui Wah School and Island Hostel on November 26, 2019. It was the first time for him to visit the school and the hostel after they have moved from Shek Pik, Lantau to Tuen Mun. He saw the facilities of the new premises and knew more about the special education programme, residential child care service and the future development of the school and the hostel. He commented that the new premises is large and attractive.
