    Let's Go donation to Island Hostel in Charity Sale Activity
Let's Go and artist Leung Ka Ki have supported our Society and cared for our children in Island Hostel continuously. Besides placing donation boxes in Let's Go shop, Let's Go initiated the Mother's Day Charity Sale Activity. They invited artist Leung Ka Ki and Superintendent of IH to hold a live workshop on May 2, 2020. Two floral decoration using 2,600 pieces of Lego block were produced. The proceeds of about HKD8000 from the charity sale was raised and would be given to Island Hostel. We would like to express our heartiest thanks to the generous donation to our Society in support for our service.
    Opening Ceremony of the Mok Yip Sui Hung Library
With the donation of HK$23.8 million from the Mok Yip Sui Hung Fund, the Society has earmarked $700,000 to refurbish the library of our Hong Kong Student Aid Society Primary School. The refurbishment work was started in last Summer and has now been completed. As a token of appreciation, an Opening Ceremony of the Mok Yip Sui Hung Library cum the celebration of Year of the Rat was held on January 17, 2020. Ms. Barbara Mok and Ms. Betty Yip, representatives of the Mok Yip Sui Hung Fund, and Ms. Lin Shui Ngor, Miranda, Senior School Development Officer (Yong Long), together with other school principals participated in the simple but grand opening ceremony. Students also showed their talents in performing “Xiangsheng” (a Chinese traditional comedy show) and Chinese dance. All guests enjoyed the excellent performances.
    Book shopping activities for children in Small Group Homes
Thanks to the sponsorship of Mr. Simon Lee and his friend Derrick, a book shopping activity for children living in Lok Fu and Hau Tak Small Group Homes was organized on December 21 and 22, 2019 respectively. Children were very excited after choosing their favourite books. They also enjoyed lunch and celebrated Christmas together after the book shopping activities.
    Timberland’s Volunteer Team sent Boxes of Love to our children
Timberland initiated the “Box of Hope” Christmas Campaign by collecting Timberland shoeboxes from customers and gifts from staff members to make and send Christmas gift boxes to our children. After many months of preparation, this Christmas, nearly 300 children in our residential child care services, including Holland Hostel, Mark Memorial Home, Island Hostel, Small Group Homes and Foster Care, each received a Box of Love from Timberland’s Volunteer Team!
